Mountain-bike and cycling 

Ideal to discover the deep nature, mountain-bike offers you the possibility to explore the mountain’s paths, to go all over forests and  pastures (the Auberge de l’Orangerie is located in the heart of 120 kms of mountain-bikes’ marked circuits).

 Located in the middle of several valleys, the Auberge is an ideal departure for cycling : Aravis pass, Colombiere pass or climb of Domancy (where Bernard Hinault won the World Championship of cycling in 1980 in Sallanches).

At your disposal :

  • A closed garage,
  • A map of mountain-biking trails (in the surroundings )
  • Some tips to go out (all day long or half-day)
  • An equipped workshop to adjust or repair your bike
  • Dinner and breakfast are adapted to cyclists. For lunch, picnic available on demand the day before.

 Possibility to contact a qualified guide for day or half-day rides (Patrick Pinel).

 Bring your own bike or rent one there.

 Possibility to go up with the “Tramway du Mont-Blanc” for an unforgettable way down in mountain-bike.

Around Sallanches, ski for all... Megève, Saint-Gervais, Chamonix, Plaine-Joux.



Paragliding schools in Mont-Blanc valley offer tandem flights or different courses of instruction.



  • Lake « Lac des Illettes » :
    Free green beaches on the second lake. North part watched from 11.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., from July 2nd to August 28th.
  • Lake « Lac de Passy » :
    A sand beach watched during summer, some turfed creeks, some picnic and BBQ’s areas, some paths to go for walks around the lake, a special circuit good for health...


White water sports

Canyoning, Canoeing, Rafting, Hydrospeed, Airboat, Canoraft
The white water sports cannot be improvised. You need to be guided by a professional.
